Steam hardware survey of March released: RTX 2060 rounds out the top three
News on April 3, recently, Valve announced the results of Steam’s hardware and software survey in March 2022.
This time, the player’s PC hardware, system and other content were investigated. This data is only based on the users who are surveyed by Steam. .
First of all, let’s look at the graphics card part that has attracted attention. The data shows that the most commonly used graphics card in March is still the GTX 1060, which is firmly in the “best nail household” seat.
It surpassed the GTX 1050 Ti and became the third largest graphics card after the GTX 1060 and GTX 1650.
It is worth noting that as the price of 30-series graphics cards has been falling in recent times, the share of RTX 3060 and RTX 3070 has also increased by 0.55% and 0.24%, respectively.
When it comes to CPUs, quad-core CPUs are still the most common, but hexa-core CPUs are catching up in usage and are likely to overtake within a month or two.
In addition, there are not a few users of eight-core CPUs, and there are really fewer and fewer brothers who use dual-core processors to play games.
Under the Windows system, the usage of Intel was 69.32%, an increase of 0.26%, and the usage of AMD was 30.66%, a decrease of 0.26%.
On the operating system, the usage of Win 11 is still increasing, currently reaching 16.84%, while the usage of Win 10 64-bit is 74.69%. In general, Win 10 will remain the first in a short period of time.
In addition, the proportion of computers with 16GB memory continued to increase, reaching 51.48%, and the proportion of users with 8GB memory dropped to 23.44%.
Interestingly, it seems that many users bought new large-capacity hard drives in March. The data shows that users with a total hard drive capacity of more than 1TB increased by 1.85%.
