Following this release, MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen3 are also expected to make their debut.

However, at this juncture, foreign media outlet AndroidHeadlines has raised concerns, suggesting that the Dimensity 9300 employs a full big-core CPU design, eschewing the traditional high-efficiency small cores, which might result in uncontrolled power consumption and heating.

In response to these reports, MediaTek promptly issued an official statement, refuting the content of the foreign media’s report as baseless and unsubstantiated. They also noted that they were never approached by AndroidHeadlines for verification.

MediaTek emphasized that their third-generation flagship chip, the Dimensity 9300, boasts excellent performance and power efficiency. The development of new customer products is proceeding smoothly, with the Dimensity 9300 and related terminal products set to launch in the fourth quarter.

According to earlier leaks, the Dimensity 9300 will be the first in the Android ecosystem to adopt a full big-core CPU design, consisting of four Cortex-X4 super big cores and four Cortex-A720 big cores. This redesign is expected to significantly boost overall performance while reducing power consumption by 50% compared to the previous generation.

For the GPU, MediaTek has incorporated Arm’s latest flagship Immortalis-G720, delivering substantial gains in both computational power and energy efficiency. Thanks to MediaTek’s optimizations, everyday power consumption in typical scenarios is expected to decrease by up to 25%.

Additionally, the Dimensity 9300 will debut support for LPDDR5T memory, offering a blazing-fast transfer speed of up to 9.6Gbps, making it the fastest mobile memory specification globally.

In summary, the Dimensity 9300 promises a significant leap in performance and power efficiency, poised to continue leading the Android flagship market.

MediaTek also jointly announced with TSMC that development of their first flagship chip utilizing TSMC’s 3nm process is progressing smoothly. The new 3nm flagship is expected to enter mass production next year and hit the market in the latter half of the year.
