It is reported that the TGP of the high-end Navi 31 graphics card will reach 405W
According to information shared by YouTube channel RedGamingTech (RGT), the Radeon team is increasing the total graphics power (TGP) of the high-end Navi 31 chip from 375W to 405W, an increase of 8%.
Meanwhile, there will apparently be another secondary SKU, which will feature a 375W TGP.
RGT also provided purported specification details for the flagship SKU and the rest of it below.
Apparently it will come with 84 compute units (CUs) or 42 workgroup processors (WGPs).
However, this time the flagship is apparently named the 7950 XT instead of the expected 7900 XT.
Meanwhile, it was previously rumored that the top SKU could have a higher core count of 60 WGP or 120 CUs.
Regardless, performance is expected to be very impressive, as Radeon is expected to go from two SIMD32s per CU to four SIMD32s using RDNA 3.
In addition, it is expected that the video memory will also be greatly adjusted, adding V-cache.
It is said to increase the number of Infinity Cache on the top chip from 128MB to 384MB.
AMD recently confirmed that RDNA 3 GPUs are coming next quarter, and the NVIDIA RTX 4000 series won’t be too far away.
