Huawei Mate 60 Pro Officially Released: Debuting Satellite Calls, 12+512GB Variant Priced at CNY 6,999 (about US$961).
August 29, Huawei’s official blog announced that the cumulative shipments of Huawei Mate series phones have reached a staggering one billion units.
In light of this milestone, Huawei has launched the “HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro Pioneer Program,” which officially went live today at 12:08, allowing selected consumers to experience the most powerful Mate phone in history ahead of others. The 12+512GB variant is priced at CNY 6,999(about US$961).
Support Satellite Calls
The Huawei Mate 60 Pro can make and receive satellite calls without the need for a ground network. Moreover, it offers the flexibility to edit satellite messages and select multiple location data points to create trajectory maps, thereby enhancing travel safety.
Huawei states that since its debut in 2013, the Huawei Mate series of smartphones has been beloved by consumers worldwide, achieving one remarkable milestone after another in the development of high-end Huawei smartphones.

Simultaneously, Huawei announced the launch of the “HUAWEI Mate60 Pro Pioneer Program,” which officially debuted on Huawei’s online store at 12:08, allowing selected consumers to experience the latest Mate device in advance.
Huawei emphasizes the Mate 60 Pro’s concentric design, inspired by majestic landscapes, featuring four color options: Elegant River Blue, White Sand Silver, Southern Nuò Purple, and Yadan Black. Additionally, Huawei has made a breakthrough in satellite communication, making the Mate 60 Pro the world’s first mainstream smartphone to support satellite calls, ensuring seamless communication even in areas without ground network signals.
Last year, Huawei introduced Kunpeng Glass, and with the Mate 60 Pro, it debuts the second-generation Kunpeng Glass, which is twice as durable.
Furthermore, it employs an innovative Xuanwu frame architecture for comprehensive protection.
Huawei also touts the exceptional performance of the Mate 60 Pro in various photography scenarios, including flash photography, portraits, and macro photography, with further improvements in XMAGE imaging.
