AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs based on Zen 3 core architecture have been on the market for nearly two years, and AMD is also about to launch next-generation Ryzen 7000 “Zen 4” CPUs.

Industrial motherboard solutions provider Advantech has listed a total of four AMD Ryzen 5000 “embedded” CPUs, which we haven’t seen before.
The specifications of these chips are slightly different compared to desktop products.
For example, the AMD Ryzen 9 5950E has 12 cores and 24 threads instead of the desktop chip’s 16 cores and 32 threads. It has a maximum clock speed of 3.4GHz, 64MB of L3 cache, and a TDP of 105W.
The AMD Ryzen 9 5900E has 10 cores and 20 threads, while the Ryzen 9 5900X has 12 cores and 24 threads. It has a max clock of 3.7GHz, 64MB of L3 cache, and a TDP of 105W.
The Ryzen 7 5800E is basically similar to its desktop counterpart in terms of core configuration, with 8 CPU cores, 16 threads, 32MB of L3 cache, a 100W TDP, and a boost clock of up to 3.7GHz.
Finally there’s the Ryzen 5 5600E, which has 6 cores, 12 threads, 32MB of L3 cache, a 3.6GHz clock, and a 65W TDP.
Interestingly, the AMD Ryzen AM4 embedded lineup hasn’t seen an update since the release of the Ryzen 2000G APU.
All of these chips are compatible with the AMD X570 chipset and support DeviceOn and embedded software APIs.
AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs may also get embedded parts, but traditionally we have to wait as many years as the 5000 generation.
